SUMMARY
PPTNM is looking for a Director, People Operations to own the People Operations function four affiliate size that ranges from 70-100 employees. Our Director, People Operations will be a HR Operations guru, focused on all things HR operations; working on everything from benefits & compensation, talent acquisition, onboarding, management of HR technology, and HR compliance. To be successful in this role, you should be passionate about people and process, with a keen eye for managing, maintaining and continuously enhancing day-to-day HR operations within a growing team.

We’re looking for someone who has experience in supporting a fast-paced ever-changing organization. Someone who can be hands-on “roll-up their sleeves” and jump from one HR item to the next without a hitch.
This role will supervise three (3) direct reports, one (1) currently in place, and with the anticipation of the additional two (2) being added in the next few months (based on business need).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
HR Operations:
Direct all activities related to the successful operation of the HR department for the affiliate
Responsible for full life-cycle recruitment in conjunction with the People Operations Specialist-Generalist for all of the affiliates recruiting needs
Manage, monitor and update as necessary the Applicant Tracking System (The Clear Company)
Responsible for full employee-life cycle activities, from onboarding to offboarding employees (including assisting with employee relations issues, promotions, terminations, internal transfers, management of PTO)
In conjunction with accounting and finance, provide support for Payroll processing (i.e., new hire information, termination information, corrections, etc.)
Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management, and translate that into updates of policies and procedures (employee handbook and all applicable addendum policies) - in conjunction with CEO and Legal Counsel
Responsible for oversight and management of all HR technology (HRIS, Benefit Carrier systems, ATS, R&R platform, Electronic Filing system, 401(k) )
Responsible for the annual performance management process (electronic) to include: annual performance review completion, merit increases and bonuses
Annual review and benchmarking of compensation in alignment with our pay philosophy (Payscale)
Serve as the owner of the annual affiliate engagement survey in setup, management, review an action planning through Press Ganey
In partnership with the CEO and Accounting & Finance, annual management and review of employee benefits and negotiation with third party benefits consultant
Responsible for the oversight and management of the affiliates reward and recognition program/platform (Terryberry)
Provide guidance and assistance to leaders as needed on HR related issues to include: disciplinary action and terminations. Working with CEO, external counsel and any other applicable executive leadership team members
Provide support to the CEO on management of COVID as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Accreditation:
Full oversight in ensuring all HR tasks are performed according to PPFA Standards and Guidelines and Accreditation Indicators; and in compliance with all federal, state and local employment practice laws and regulations. This includes but is not limited to: employee file recordkeeping, DEI initiatives and training

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or combination of education and experience in a related field
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 7 years of progressive human resources, and human resources operations experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management level
CERTIFICATIONS (Preferred): PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES FOR THIS POSITION:

Ability to work independently, as a team member and cross-departmentally
Knowledge of human resources principles and employment laws (federal and state level)
Proficiency in MS Office
Ability to learn and operate computerized HR technology (ATS, HRIS, Electronic File Management, Compensation Platform, Reward and Recognition)
