Virtual Voter Engagement Representative

STATUS: Temp -Contract 1099/$16/Hourly; Now till November 2024

Job Summary:

Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North Mississippi is seeking Virtual Voter Engagement Representatives who will be responsible for following a script, asking survey questions, and collecting research data via phone and zoom conference calls for a project called “Deep Values Conversations”. Virtual Voter Engagement Representatives will collect data on attitudes about abortion. In addition, Virtual Voter Engagement Representatives will contact individuals about registering to vote. The ideal candidate should have good interpersonal and problem-solving skills, be able to work under pressure, and have a strong focus on upholding reproductive rights in Tennessee.

COVID VACCINATION REQUIREMENT FOR CANDIDATES SEEKING EMPLOYMENT:

PPTNM, as both a healthcare provider and a participant of Medicare/Medicaid, is subject to certain laws, regulations and orders requiring its workforce to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and its variants. PPTNM has therefore implemented a requirement that all employees be fully vaccinated. Candidates seeking employment with PPTNM will be required to: (1) be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and its variants by their start date. Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis for exemptions to this requirement in accordance with applicable law, and (2) submit proof of vaccination by their start date as a condition of employment with PPTNM.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct outbound calls to targeted individuals to promote voter registration initiatives, and provide information on voter registration processes.

2. Support ongoing research efforts to call and survey voters on attitudes about abortion in Tennessee.

3. Utilize provided scripts and materials to effectively communicate with potential voters and encourage them to register to vote.

4. Maintain accurate records of calls, including outcomes, responses, and any necessary follow-up actions.

5. Ensure compliance with all regulations and guidelines governing voter registration efforts.

6. Collaborate with team members and field organizers to coordinate outreach efforts and achieve campaign goals.

7. Adhere to campaign timelines and goals, striving to meet or exceed performance targets.

8. Maintain professionalism and courtesy while communicating with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

9. Adapt to changing priorities and tasks as directed by campaign leadership.

10. Represent the campaign with integrity and enthusiasm, embodying its mission and values in all interactions.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in customer service or call center role.

  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

  • Basic computer proficiency and typing skills.

  • Reside in Tennessee
