Clinician – Telehealth (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Certified Nurse Midwife)
REPORTS TO: Practice Manager | Lead Clinician
STATUS: Part-Time or PRN | Exempt/Salaried
SCHEDULE OPTIONS:
Part-Time: Monday, Wednesday, Friday | 8-hour shifts (up to 24 hours/week)
OR
PRN: Wednesday and Friday | 8-hour shifts (as-needed coverage)
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Fully Remote (Synchronous Telehealth Delivery)
WORK FROM STATE: Candidates must reside in one of these states - TN, MS, AK, GA, FL, NC, MD, TX. TN License Required.

As a Telehealth Clinician, you will play a vital role in expanding access to high-quality reproductive healthcare through virtual platforms. You will deliver synchronous patient-centered care, including clinical assessments, education, and follow-up, in alignment with Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) guidelines and state regulations.

Conduct comprehensive virtual health assessments, including obstetric, gynecologic, contraceptive, medical, and psychosocial histories Obtain a complete health history, including obstetric, gynecologic, contraceptive, medical, surgical, family health, and psychosocial information from clients and record findings accurately and succinctly.
Provide telehealth consultations for a variety of services, but not limited to contraception, STI evaluation and treatment, reproductive health concerns, and preventive services
Deliver patient-centered education and counseling on sexual health, fertility, and overall wellness
Review, order and interpret diagnostic studies as indicated and permitted by PPTNMs MS&Gs;; coordinate appropriate follow-up care
Prescribe medications in accordance with clinical protocols, state regulations, and DEA requirements
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical documentation
Manage a daily patient panel aligned with telehealth productivity expectations (approximately 25 patients per day depending on visit type)
Provides general health supervision, health maintenance, education, and counseling to people during the life cycle.
Recognizes common non-gynecological medical problems and other deviations from normal and provides management or referrals as appropriate.
Ensure patient care aligns with Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North Mississippi (PPTNM) Medical Standards and Guidelines (MSGs) and affiliate protocols
Participate in quality risk management (QRM) and continuous improvement initiatives
Support implementation of telehealth best practices to enhance patient outcomes and access
Identify and escalate cases requiring in-person evaluation or higher level of care
Collaborate with clinical teams, health center staff, and external partners to ensure continuity of care
Support patient navigation, including referrals to in-person services when clinically appropriate
Deliver a high level of patient-centered service in a virtual setting
Demonstrate a positive, solutions-oriented approach while upholding PPTNM’s mission and values
Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN), Physician Assistant Studies, Doctor of Nursing Practice or Certified Nurse-Midwife
Active and unrestricted Tennessee APRN license
National certification as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Certified Nurse Midwife
DEA license required
Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience preferred; telehealth experience strongly preferred
Strong patient assessment and diagnostic skills in a virtual care environment
Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) and telehealth platforms
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport in a virtual setting
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with a remote team
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accountability
Commitment to providing inclusive, nonjudgmental, and patient-centered care
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume virtual care environment
Private, secure workspace appropriate for telehealth delivery
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods during scheduled shifts
